So to tell you a little about my room; the furniture is either going to be medium brown wood or beech (light) wood. My bedding is navy blue. So what colour do you think I should paint my room. I like a soothing, modern look, and don't want anything too dark.
Thanks for your help.

It sounds kind of beachy so I would say a light beigh and if you have some extra time maybe a small dark blue pin-stripe around the bottom of the room.

How about light beige walls with white trim? The navy blue would really pop against the light colors.

why don't you start with medium brown going to light brown blend with light blue going up to nany blue. now down and up will be dark and the center will be a blend of light brown and light blue. try these color on a white art paper. then if you like it ,go for it .

A light to medium shade of blue would be good. Blue is a calming color.

Med. to light shades, even pastels would be great...some colors that would be nice...
-cornflower blue with white or beige accent trims
-light sky blue with pastel yellow & navy blue as accent trims
-pastel yellow with navy blue accent trims
good luck!

I think I would go with a neutral creamy color, and then if you wanted to you could do a blue accent wall. I would pick a blue that is lighter than your bedding, but compliments it well.

Choose earth/neutral tones... it's soothing/relaxing and in case you decide to change the color of your sheets, most colors would go with your walls and no need to repaint.
