Abraham is the beginning of the Jewish race and faith. However, he lived long before the law was given through Moses.

I don't know if there were organized religions on the earth at that time. It is not mentioned in the biblical account in Genesis.

Abraham predates any ethnic or religious classification, but he is considered to be the first of the Jews, since God made a covenant with him and his descendants. The practice of circumcision was to have originated with Abraham as a symbol of that covenant.

At the time before the covenant, however, Abram (his name before God called him Abraham) would have been considered simply a man of God, or a man of one unseen God. Most of the religions at the time were polytheistic (many gods) and nature-based (weather, harvest, fertility gods, etc.) and so Abram's belief would have been considerably different.

Abraham's religion was Judaism.
In fact, he was the first Jew, which is why he is referred to as the father of the Jewish people.
