Is imitation crab consider fish or meat? One of my friend is vegetarian and other don't eat fish. So was wondering if imitation crab is okay for either one of them to eat. Thanks

Imitation crab meat is actually made from certain white fish, usually pollock fish is used and processed to resemble crab meat. Since it is made from fish, i don't think your friend will eat it.

If you look on the package you'll see that it is made from white fish, processed to taste like crab meat.

Imitation crab is not meat or fish. That's why it's called "imitation".

As a veggie, I don't eat it. It's derived from an animal (which varies from brand to brand). I'm positive they wouldn't eat it either.
