If you're following the bible, it's important to keep in mind that often, the track of years alive is skewed. They probably lived to be 30-35, maybe fifty or sixty for the oldest and healthiest people. Also, we're not dealing with the first humans here.
Just, the important thing is, don't take bible info at face value. There's always hidden messages and points in it.

Fun fact:
The human brain has only enough storage capacity to store about 120 years worth of memory. This tends not to matter, as no one has (on record) lived past 114. However, people like Methusela (the one who lived to 920) would have lived 7 different lives, not rembering how or where he was born. It would be weird not to remember your first love, or your children's birthdays.

People who believe the Bible is inerrant say:
Science is wrong, you are wrong, back then they did live that long! Becuz the Bible sez so!
Liberal Christians:
Those are just stories. Most are figurative, so don't take them literally. I'm an LC, I pick and choose what I want to believe based on my opinions. I pick out the good bits, the sensible bits, and leave out the stupid bits, and the bits where the Chosen people burn down villages, kill the men and save the virgins.

Ha.
I asked for evidence such people lived but the replies I got were "Where is the proof people *didn't* live to be 900 years old.
People who believe this need to come back to reality.

You are confused b/c modern science has helped confuse you. Think about before the flood, they never even had a rain storm. There was a fine mist that surrounded the earth. No pollution! Nothing bad or unnatural! So yes, I believe Abraham lived to be that old. Below is a very interesting website on creation science, it might help clear up a few things for you! : )

I've heard that years were measured by moon cycles so, according to them, there were 12 or 13 years each time we have a year (according to our sun-based meaurement of time)

Of course they did.
Christians have found fossilised birthday cards saying "Happy 921st Birthday Grandad". I think they play a little tune too.
