How long does it take to get a new customized car that is not available?

anyone ever bought a new car before? If the dealer doesnt have it in stock how long does it take to order it and have it shipped from wherever its coming from to get to the dealer?

If it is a car that the dealer can get from another dealer, it might not take long at all. If it is a special order from the factory, it can take from 1 to 3 months in my past experience.
