As an omnipotent creator being? I, personally, think such a god is illogical. Everybody else believes according to their own understanding though, so I won't speak for them.

Some Buddhists believe in a general god-like combination but their emphasis seems to be on philosophy...that there are two sides to everything, good can not exist w/o bad and vice versa so only one being is impossible
they have no belief in the Christian version of God

Buddha totally rejected the theory of existence of a god. He said if you follow the dhamma which he preached all his life one will attain to Nirvana .The ultimate is SHUNYA where total emancipation happens . Buddhists the followers of buddha follow the same principle only few are going to be a buddha.

buddiusm is about your personal journey for self enlightenment, what ever path you take, if along the way you need or desire a belief in god, so be it. Prince Sadata on his path to enlightenment, followed many ideas untill he discovered for himself the middle path , not to be extreme, nor to be to lax, this led him to enlightenment.
Buddha means to be enlightened, enlightenment { to discover what you are looking for} Prince Sadata once his journey lead him to the middle path he became Buddha.Buddha believed there will be so many more enlightened ones to travle the earth, so choose your path how ever you need but try to be the best person you can , your journey will be so much more pleasent this way.
