What I think people mean when they say someone is religious is that they attend church, temple, synagogue, mosque regularly. And/or that they act in a manner that is associated with religiosity.
For some, it's used pejoratively to bring on or show disdain of that person or group of persons.

To be religious means simply to believe in 1 god or many which to me is a great start. Nobody can believe in God unless they arent religious!

But that word has taken on a negative conotation to many believers meaning "belief only and no action."

their really devoted to their religion, they are very good and really believe in God, priest or an example of religious people

But having a religion doesnt mean your religious...... you really..... REALLY got to know God..... they go to church and pray often...... they dont care about what other people say bout them being weird they just know that God will give them a place of their own...... Religious people work hard by reading the bible and always keeps God in mind

There is no one right answer to this as every person's definition of "religious" is probably different.

Why are you asking us what's in another person's mind, as if we can read their minds? Ask THEM.
