There is no limit to what man can cause to be done if he can have the vision of it. Leonardo da Vinci is a good example of this causing limitless things to come about eventually. It just so happened that he took notes of his thoughts.
Movie writers make efforts to think up the grossest, meanest, crappola for the sake of a few bucks, and in this way cause these things to happen in reality and this then snowballs into more and more suffering. Fortunately the reverse is also true, and those negative experiences cause people to want some of the opposites, the good stuff, which in turn also contributes to the expansion of the universe, so All IS Well.

Yet, on a personal basis there is a limit. Otherwise it would be like saying that stop signs don't exist. Every individual has free will and another may not interfere with that. The most common problem I find around me has to to with women, and I don't know why, deciding that a particular man is the only one they can love. Actually they mean "be in love with". They have absolutely no regard for what that particular man might want or be best suited to. It is one of the main causes of societal suffering. Yet, all is well, and something good is bound to eventually come out of it, like with all other suffering. Joy to All.

Can I answer your question in more practical sense?

Yes there is an ultimate limit, every thing is bound by laws of Universe.

For example, you can't go faster than speed of light.

Nope. Whenever I thought I have seen someone sink to the lowest of the lows or reach to the highest of the highs, there is always someone who surprises me and takes a step further.

There is a saying, knowledge is infinite. so no matter what we learn or do, there is still more to achieve.

There might not be limits for what humans can do. But there will always be more to learn and to do.
