my mom says i can get a tattoo what should i get???? i might get it in 2 months for my b-day

First you should sit down and think of what represents you then you should try to put it into a drawing or something. Because you don't want to be part of 10000's of girls walking around with a butterfly on their shoulder.

Flowers, hearts. and butterflys are cute but they are played out. I have three tats and i never get anything that is in a book or on the wall. You will eventually find 100 people with the same thing. Think of what you imagine as meaningful or beautiful and get the tattoo artist to draw something for you. They are creative and can maybe give you some ideas. If they won't, then find someone else to do it. If they aren't willing to help then they aren't concerned about you permanatly putting something on your body and they may also be careless about cleanliness. Good luck.

You obviously shouldn't be getting a tattoo yet. Every kid dreams of getting a tattoo or piercing when they turn 18. I know I did and knew exactly what I was getting and where, and let me tell you, I'm 21 now and SO DAMN GLAD I didn't get that ugly thang and waited until last year before getting tattoos! Just think, its hurts 50 times worse to get it removed than to get it done in the first place!

As for where, My first was on my shoulder blade, It did not hurt to bad, and next was my ankle, pain was not bad.
It is totally up to you. I think small sun and monn tats are cool too.

If you want a tattoo I would choose very carefully on what you get cause it is a perminate part of your body it takes some people years brfore they find what the like it took me 5 years beofore I found my first one.

Given the fact that tatto's dont wash off with water, something small to start off with. Remember a tatoo is going to be something you have to look at for the rest of your life, and if you have it removed the scar is going to be ugly. So my advice, not knowing if your male or female, would be a butterfly, lil devil or a heart with mum.

personally i think "cool tattoos" is an oxymoron: no tattoos are cool. consider carefully before you get one and remember you need surgery or lasers to remove it, both of which leave scars.

having said that, i had a female friend who had an Egyptian hieroglyph cartouche on the base of her back which looked quite good....
