I've heard lots of predictions and questions (some of which have already been answered in the books or by Jo Rowling).
but what would you like to happen?
I want Harry to defeat Voldemort
I want Ginny & Harry to live happily ever after, and Ron & Hermione and Remus & Tonks.
I want Fawkes to come back to Harry (even though I know he's gone for ever)
I want Dumbledore to answer questions from his portrait.
I want Aberforth to be almost as good as Dumbledore.
I want Grimauld Place to become a nice place.
I want the book to be really long...... which it will have to be if all the remaining horcrux's have to be found and destroyed.
I want it to be 21st July now.
etc. etc.

WolverL -agree Harry is not the Horcrux and with pts 2,3&6, I like your observation re Snape's good advice, and the protection vow, I hoped he was redeemable ~ (little boy crying in corner) but Jo implied that she couldn't understand how anyone could like him - which gives impression she's not inclined to make him come good.
Sean - agree with all u say re Horcrux's, would like Neville to get Bellatrix - I love retribution. H needs qualifications to be Auror Agree re Aberforth. I don't think Dumbledore (DD) was pleading for his life either, maybe asking Snape to end to his suffering? I like your well thought out idea about Snape's look of hatred and being unable to hate DD enough to do a real Avada Kedavra, and the Spy Glass theory. But DD thought he was wrong sometimes - claimed responsibility for Sirius' death in OotP and said "Harry I owe you an explanation…An explanation of an old mans mistakes"
Thanx all

I'm pretty sure those that have died are all truly dead...although I would love them not to be
am also sure that everyone including Harry will go back to Hogwarts, otherwise the pre-determined seven school years (1 per book) wouldn't apply.
I have a strong feeling Hagrid will be one of the victims. But I hope Remus survives (he deserves something good).
I think the veil is unlikely to be revived, they know what happens if you go through it now, I don't think they'll go back to the Dept of Mysteries.
Snook - how do you know he hasn't already.
Miss G - I'd like Dudley to be redeemed too.
Kate H - she won't write any more HP, but think you're going to be disappointed with the ending.

Hello
I agree with most of what you said especially about the part of wishing july 21 was now;) As for Dumbledore I think he will talk and that will be part of the reason that they go back to hogwarts. I dont think the length of the book is going to matter too much because well it's the last book and it will be great. I want ginny to have harry's child...lol...but in a sense I really want harry to sacrafice himself to kill voldemort. I also want Snape to be discovered I want to know his desires and what is with him. There is so much to know and so much to discuss after the book is out! I just hope I can get a hold of the copy of the book on the 21st because if I go anywhere or watch the news or check my email the results are going to be posted EVERYWHERE! Well hoped this helped!

1. Harry is not a horcrux! (This idea makes no sense in light of the prophesy for one, and why would Voldemort put part of his soul into someone he might have to fight anyway. Also, if he kills Harry, he's wasted part of his soul. It would also mean that Harry would have to loose a killing curse just after Voldemart loosed a killing curse against him--that is very tricky timing!).
2. Pettigrew still has a debt to Harry and that debt will be collected upon.
3. Neville will find his strength and confidence.
4. Bill Weasley's marriage will be the scene of a big fight, and maybe the death of one of the major characters.
5. Draco Malfoy will not be a major factor, unless he admits to himself that he is in over his head with the Deatheaters and turns coat.
6. We will find out that Harry is Dumbledore's heir, and among the things he gets is the pensieve and a bunch of very instructive memories.
7. About deaths:
First, we are assuming that either Harry or Voldemort dies. I believe that Harry lives, because it is a children's/YA series after all and the central character of such series never die, JKR will not buck that canon.
Otherwise: My handicapping, in order of likelihood (IMHO):
Ron, Percy, Pettigrew, Fred/George, Neville, Lupin, Hagrid, Hermione, Petunia, Dudley, Tonks, Mr./Mrs. Weasley, Malfoy, Ginny, Bill, Fleur, Luna, Snape
8. Finally, about Snape:
Snape is Snape. He is beyond the sort of simplistic categorization as "good" or "evil", IMHO. I do believe he is not as evil as he appeared at the end of HBP. It would take too much space to really go into this in detail, but consider this:
It is well known that Snape played the double-agent prior to the death of Harry's parents, and there is no reason to believe he wasn't still a double agent on the anti-Voldemort side. Why then did he bind himself to the success of Draco's mission and then actually kill Dumbledore?
My answer: Dumbledore knew that destroying Slytherin's ring had fatally wounded him and Snape knew so too. Therefore he allowed himself to be bound to Dumbledore"s death, a death he knew was imminent and against which he knew Dumbeldore had taken precautions to ensure that his death would not derail the anti-Voldemort movement.
Now, on the other hand, if Snape has turned coats; why did he not kill Harry* or disable him and take him helpless to Voldemort? JKR made it clear that Harry is no match for Snape as a wizard (yet). If you look at Snapes "taunts" at Harry and put them into anyone else's mouth, they're very good advice on what Harry needs yet to learn to fight strong adult wizards on anything like equal terms.
My answer is that Dumbledore at some point shortly after Harry was orphaned made Snape take an unbreakable vow to protect Harry. This fits in perfectly with Snape's actions toward Harry in the books thus far. Yes, Snape is a mean SOB to Harry, but that is Snape's personality, and he didn't vow to be nice to Harry after all.
My conclusion is that in Book Seven, Snape will act covertly and eventually overtly to aid Harry, that he will likely live, and that Harry will be just as in the dark over Snape's motivations as when Harry entered Hogwarts. (BTW, the above is why I don't think Harry will die. If I'm right, then Snape dies too if Harry dies, and Snape is the ultimate survivor).

Here is why I believe that Harry cannot be a Horcrux. As Horace Slughorn said, a spell is needed to create one. What we don't know is when that spell needs to be cast. Assuming that Voldemort brought with him to Godric's Hollow the item he was planning to make a Horcrux with Harry's murder, we have two plans of action from which to choose. First, let's assume that the spell needs to be cast after the murder (which seems fair because the ring became Horcrux 1 years after the murder of Tom's parents). Does anybody really think that after Voldemort was reduced to 1/7 of a soul, that he could possible cast a spell to put part of his soul in Harry? No way. Didn't happen. Ok, so your argument now is that the spell needs to be cast before the murder. That's fair. However, Voldemort was planning on KILLING Harry! Why in the world would he cast the Horcrux spell on Harry if Voldemort thought he was going to be dead? A dead person can't have any soul in it. And probably the biggest piece of evidence is that VOLDEMORT DID NOT KILL HARRY! If murder was not committed, then how could Voldemort's soul have been split? But wait, there is one more piece of evidence that everyone discounts or forgets, but it is the most believable, comes from the most reliable source, and that is that Dumbledore does not include Harry in his list of Horcruxes, and Dumbledore is able to identify all but one Horcrux. For this one, he says it is something of Gryffindor's or Ravenclaw's. I see the viewpoint that Harry is something of Gryffindor's, but just look at the evidence above to see why Harry is not quite the artifact of Godric Voldemort was looking for. Bottom line, there is too much evidence that Harry is not a Horcrux for me to really believe that he could be. However, I put 90% because I can be wrong, and there is valid evidence that Harry is a Horcrux. I just think the "not a Horcrux" evidence is much stronger and there is much more of it.
There is just no solid evidence to support the claim that Snape is bad! After 6 books and all we have learned from Dumbledore, is it really possible that he would be pleading for his life? Absolutely not. He even said to Harry in SS, "To the well-something mind, death is but the next great adventure." No, Dumbledore is pleading for Snape to go through with the plan of killing him, which we learn from Hagrid much earlier in the book Snape is getting cold feet. Also, notice the parallels between Harry's feelings in the cave and Snape's expression before he kills Dumbledore. Harry is "hating himself, repulsed by what he is doing" when he makes Dumbledore keep drinking the emerald potion. Snape "had hatred and revulsion etched on the lines of his face." Why would JKR use such parallel language if we were not to pick up on it and realize that the hate in Snape's face is for what he is doing, not the man in front of him. JKR is not stupid, and very rarely is something a coincidence in her books. Also, since when has an Avada Kedavra curse sent the victim flying? Usually the victim just crumples on the floor. We learn from Bellatrix Lestrange and Barty Crouch Jr. that you need to MEAN an unforgivable curse. You really need to WANT to kill or cause pain (in the case of the cruciatus curse). Whenever anyone is hit with the Cruciatus curse, we have no indication that they fly backwards, they just fall on the ground writhing in pain. However, when Harry attempts the curse on Bellatrix, she is knocked down powerfully. It seems reasonable that a meaningless Avada Kedavra would have the same effect. If Snape really meant to kill Dumbledore, he would have just fallen on the ground and died. However, he flies up in the air backwards, falls to the ground and dies. Yes, a fall from the tallest tower would kill anyone. Snape cannot possible have enough hate for Dumbledore to hit him with a full AK curse, so Dumbledore is simply knocked backwards, and impact with the ground kills him. After all, we know that Harry tries to scream when Dumbledore is in the air (after being hit with the curse) but cannot. If Dumbledore was dead, the body bind would have stopped and Harry would have been allowed to scream. It is not until after Dumbledore hits the ground that Harry realizes he can move again. Once again, JKR is not stupid. she has a reason for every single tiny detail. When Harry is chasing Snape, Snape casts only one spell at Harry the entire time, and all that does is cause Harry to fall. He also stops another Death Eater from cursing Harry, along with giving Harry one final lesson: "Blocked again and again! Keep your mouth shut and your mind closed, Potter!" After killing Dumbledore against everything he was, Snape was farther from a coward than anybody. This is why Snape gets so angry with Harry for calling him a coward. One more thing. Snape showed up on Crouch Jr's Foe Glass. He must have been an enemy of the Death Eaters! Plus, why should we distrust Dumbledore? He always trusted Snape, and Dumbledore is NEVER wrong. Even JKR said so: "Dumbledore is never far wide off the mark."

Ginny and Harry is the thing I'm most curious about. They are such a CUTE couple! She seems very pragmatic and sensible and self confident to his kind of geek, heroic sort of glamour. I liked Ginny fromt he first time she appeared in the book and thought they might get together. Now, if he'll quit being pigheaded and go home where he belongs. :)

I want Harry to live. I want Hermonie to live. I want Ron to live. I want Ginny to live. I want Dumbledores brother to come out find out his brothers death and morn him like a brother should. I want Harry's relatives to treat him better. I was Dudly to lose weight become phycially fit realize his parents are jerks and become nice to Harry.
I want voldemort to die and his soul to come out regretting all the terrible things had had done in his lifetime and will go up to Heaven to repent for all the crimes he's commited.
But that might not happen. I'm not going to bring up hopes that Dumbledore comes back to life for in the books once u are dead u are dead and nothing can bring u back. Later in life Harry and Ginny will be marred. Harry will take Fudges place. Ron will be his second in command. Hermonie will be head master of hogwarts and will be married to Ron. I want Remous Tonks to be happy together. Hmmm Also last of all I want professor snapes to be discovered as a savior to harry and lives a happy life in a island some place. As for Draco I want to be happy and not be a evil wizard.
