Yes. Be responsible for the feelings of the one you are with and don't use the person for pure physical gratification.
Take precautions so as not to have an unwanted pregnancy
Take precautions if you have herpes or HIV and let the partner know in advance
Don't use sex to overpower or manipulate someone
With sex comes a whole lot of responsibility but most people don't get it until the consequences appear

Definitely!!

If you are going to have sex, you need to take responsibility to ensure no STD or pregnancies result.

I also think that sex is not to be casual as in an expectation for a date (I hear that some guys feel that if they pay for a date, their date is expected to "pay up" after a meal). Personally, I think it's better to wait for marriage. Even with the religious overtones aside (you did post this in R&S), I think there are a lot of reasons to wait for the right person. It may not be the same for a man, but for a woman, there can be an emotional connection with their partner. Why have that emotional connection with someone you may not wish you had been with a few months later.

Indubitably! It is the responsibility of both (ALL?) To:
!) Use contraception if it's not for procreation.
2) Use contraception for safety (most people with HIV don't know it!)
3) Treat your partner(s) with respect (this includes BDSM play)
4) NEVER force your wishes on your partner(s) (begging and bribery are OK)
5) try to avoid "WHAM BAM THANK YOU MA'AM" unless the occasion calls for it. (in public, a cloakroom, public restroom, etc)
6) do unto others as you would have them do unto you (If you're a sadomasochist ask permission first)

ummm....yes.

If you make a baby with another person through sex, there is *at least* a financial responsibility.

If you have sex with a prostitute, again there is a financial responsibility.

If you make a marriage contract with someone, you have a responsibility to nurture them and your relationship with sex (among other things).

If you break the marriage contract by having sex with someone else, then you have a responsibility to tell your spouse, and if they want a divorce, you have a responsibility to give it to them without struggle or complaint.

If you decide to have sex with someone, you have a responsibility to have a long and thoroughly informative discussion with them, where you exchange medical information (STDs), decide about prophylactics/birth ontrol methods, feelings (is this a one night stand or do you want a relationship, etc.).

Yes you should always keep yourself and your partner/s protected, educated, and able to say "No" if you or perhaps they don't want to at any point in the "activity" You and you alone have rights to your body and you can choose to do or NOT do whatever.

I'd say so. A great deal of hurt, pain, and even death has been caused by divorcing responsibility from sex.
