Put the piece he licked on your husband's sandwich. Haha
If you can stand the thought of eating it, then go ahead and keep it. But the germs the dog has introduced to the meat will make it go bad faster...all those little bacterias will grow and multiply...Mmmmm yummy.

Maybe she is tired of a sandwich. Maybe it's just too awkward to eat. Ask her if the people she sits by at the lunch table bother her (lunch time is pretty chaotic and there's little supervision of the kids). I don't be bullying her, I mean just messing with her stuff. Maybe she should choose another seat. Ask her what she'd like to eat. Then try to do it if you can. It sounds like she doesn't have much variety at lunch time. My son (he's healthy) wants me to send lots of food so that he can pick what he wants. I do, with the understanding that he will bring home what he does not eat. I send everything in a plastic container. Our rule is that he has to eat his main thing (sandwich, thermos contents, chicken nuggets), but then it's up to him. So, I send fruit of some sort, main entree, gold fish crackers or cheese its or ritz crackers, fruit snacks, granola bar or marshmallows or raisins and a drink. He usually eats the main entree, fruit and something else. He brings home everything else. I usually cut my kids' sandwiches into triangles. I remove the crusts from my daughter's because she doesn't like crust. Sometimes my son only wants a bread and butter sandwich, so that what he has. Chicken nuggets; left over pizza; hot dog; meat balls; cheese chunks; crackers; soup; peanut butter and celery and carrots; spaghetti; cottage cheese; hard boiled eggs (you peel); chicken salad in a pita; scrambled egg (sent in a warmed thermos); turkey bacon (wrapped in foil and stored in a thermos, will stay warm for a couple hours); fruit; string cheese.

If it's raw meat, then the heat during cooking will kill the bacteria. If it's cooked meat, then it should have been refrigerated. If you know about food hygiene, you will know that the mouth is full of bacteria, whether it's a dog or a human. I wouldn't throw a good piece of meat away-just cook it and eat it.

Yes. Go vegetarian. Dogs are omnivores too! You can actually get veggie dog food nowadays! You might have to ask for it at petsmart or your local store.
