No. They need to have a green card that grands them residency. When they join they can become citizens easier.

No but I've wondered why not. It could make them enough money to become citizens as well as their families not to mention helping this country by serving.
Personally I think it's a great idea.

Key words--ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS...No they cannot, they need a current and VALID I-551 card to join any branch of the US Military.
