Does anybody know of a good free file converter to download

Don't do this. PNG is not a good format for photos. It's used for graphics and things that have few colours, like the icons on this site. The best format for photos is JPEG. If you convert your photos to PNG the files will be huge and the pictures low-quality.

Just open ur photo in Paint Program that comes with Window..Then choose Save As..Select PNG as file type and click Save..

If you're using XP, open the photo with Windows picture viewer. Click on the disk symbol and you'll get a Save As dialog box. Change the file type to PNG and save.

i already asnwer this question but it was for JPEG

Well you can open the picture using Paint and then save the picture as a PNG. If you want it in EXACT details then...

1. Right click the picture and got to "open with" then click on "paint"
2. Go to "file" and then "save as"
3. Type in a name for the picture or you can use the same name but just incase I would name it something different and there should be a "save type as" and then click on PNG. Then save and your good!
