Unlike the other answers you've received thus far, I fully concur with you that the individual who posed this question is without doubt a Christian.
This question of whether or not the devil is indeed a woman has been wrangled with since the alleged holy text was written. And given that this alleged holy text was written by men, is there any reason, any reason at all to question the misogynistic nature of the writing? I think not.
From the publication of works like "Malleus Maleficarum" which was the text that ushered in the Inquisition - a dire work of misogyny aimed directly at women, to the 1935 Josef von Sternberg film, "The Devil is a Woman," those who muse over the underlying meaning and direct misogynistic meaning of the bible, have always pointed a deadly finger at women. Women are the scapegoats for man's failings and must be killed because of it.
And today?
There are honor killings and stonings of the female gender in the crippled Islamic world (a religion with its roots firmly planted in the bible) and in the allegedly secular west, women meet and greet bias and prejudice almost on a daily basis.
Any wonder that women who have the slightest modicum of self esteem and self respect go running from monotheism?
Any wonder that there is a rebirth and insurgence of Goddess religions?
It is unfortunate that the individual who wrote such a slanderous piece about how women are in cahoots with this alleged evil entity better known as Satan, has been tainted by a book that was allegedly intended to bring peace and understanding to humanity, and provide an open door to the nature of the intelligence that moves our universe.

That question shows the misogyny is alive and well in today's society. I don't doubt that some people want to turn the ultimate bad guy of all time into a woman. Not that it matters what gender an imaginary creature is.

well, first off there is no indication that the author of that question was indeed Christian, in fact I would venture to say that no matter what he thinks he is, he is NOT Christian. And the question was more sexist than religiously based, obviously written by a guy, and probably a mysoginist. Don't sweat the small stuff.

Way to go, you just generalized a whole religious group into ONE person. I'm a christian, and don't think that way...so first off to answer..."Christians" don't ask that question but that particular "person" does.....and I have no idea why he/she asked that. But I'm sure you're just wanting a whole lot of people on here responding with "I don't know, Christians are sheep and stupid?"...that's why you asked such an open ended stereotypical question? right?
