Go to Sherwin Williams. They have a "color visualizer" that even includes whole color scheme.

I would suggest getting magazines to get ideas. It not only shows you the different colors you can use, it shows you how you can decorate it too. Also look for colors that appeal to you most. If your into black and white, then base your room off of that (as a theme) choose favorite colors...

Its best to use more than one color,
1.main wall color
2. accent trim color
3. optional* trim accent color
you can pick 2 or 3 shades of the same color or ones that compliment each other...like red, white & blue, Blue & green, green & yellow etc...you can always include a neutral shade (white or beige/cream colors)as an extra trim color as well....Pick colors you like or ones that go with your bedding & furniture...(light woods = lighter shades of color and dark woods,=med. shades etc..)good luck!

The most important thing about the color you choose it that you like it.
Keep in mind a tiny square of color and store lighting, may affect your choice.
Take the samples home first.

Have a neutral colour. So when you add say, green bedsheets, curtains & a rug you can easily change them for a different colour. Making your room look different :)
