There are a variety of military bunkers. Field bunkers are trenches lined with sandbags for walls and have a thick cement top with dirt piled on top of that.

Elaborate bunkers, are basically enlarged mine shafts in mountains with massive steel doors or in the case of Iraq, dug deep into the ground.
