lol no need to take it there i figured it out just now actually it was like a series of actions that needed to be done in order or it locks up again i think it might be like a child safety lock feature idk?

i pulled it out put it in wudnt cock cudnt lod a bullet etc which is wat makes me think safety feature seems like a working gun but isnt turned out

i needed to hold gun upside down
pull out back push it in and pull trigger
the backk will fall down all the way then the rest was guessing but i did that over and over pulling the action back pulling trigger etc til it went back in and didnt lock and now its fixed

i didnt see a gun smith but thanks anyways i love this gun its a beautiful little thing and dont cost 1 buck a bullet to shoot lol

Well Im glad you got it figured out. That shows that you understand the basic opperation of the firearm enough to back track and find problems. Good Work !!!

I noticed you said you didnt have a manual for the handgun ? If you have a computer you have a manual, as Ruger provides them online.

Go to this link and download your manual. Second to last manual on the page. You can print it out to if you wish.

Good Luck & Happy Shooting !!!!!!!!!!

I am glad that you got it figured out. A little advice for you in the future...
Please learn how to spell! There are enough anti-gun clowns out there looking for reasons to keep law abiding, responsible citizens from owning guns. You getting on here looking like an illiterate person with a gun doesn't help the cause. I am not trying to say you are an idiot but, the whole world reads what people post on here. I am no genius, by any means but please don't make the rest of us look bad as fellow gun owners.

Spell check is free, the little button on the screen....

Besides, if you can't spell how do you expect to be able to read the owner's manual for your gun when you do get it??

Chances are the hammer spur has come out of the hollow in the take down latch.
Try opening the latch and pulling it open...not completely out...then point the barrel up at 45 degrees while pulling the trigger. Then push the latch back up and in.

If that doesn't work ...check the link below and see if it helps.

i agree that is the diassembly lever in the owners manual or go to rugers website to get one you have to follow a few step procedure to assemble an dissasemble which involves holding the gun different ways basically pullout the lever remove bolt remove barrell, to put back together ploace barrell on make sure firring pin block is flat insert bolt insert empty clip repeat empty point at floor pull trigger point in air re insert lever mechanism you get the point get the manual and follow instructions its hard at first but follow each step exactly it will work

The lever you were messing with is the take down lever used to disassemble the pistol. If you have th operators manual, follow the procedures for reinstalling the take down lever. If not, take it to any gun shop and the should be able to help.

Another reason why some people shouldn't have firearms.
