I was just wondering as I find sometimes people are quite negative towards troops and I have come across people who seem to think its the soldiers fault the war is happening.
Great to see so much support!!!!

We all owe our troops a huge debt of gratitude for the work that they are now and in the past doing. Forget all the bull **** about the reasons for going to war. The troops have no choose in the matter they have to go were they are told to go.
We in the UK are to quick to kill the messenger and not the sender of the message.
Our guy's and girl's are over sea's being killed and maimed every day only to return to the UK and placed in a no mans land of hate and distrust.
Where are the military hospitals to look after our people?
Where are the support staff for our people?

Yes, I support our troops. You have to admire someone you would give their life for their country time and time again. Do I support the war, no. It was based on lies and has given the present govt the right to slowly take away our rights in the name of terror. We are fighting a country who never attack us. Do I believe Saddam needed to be out of power in Iraq because of the crimes against the people, yes. I think there was another way to do it then our govt lying as to why we went in, without destroying the country, by the way isn't Bush's buddies getting paid to rebuild Iraq, or killing our soldiers and their people. If Bush is so worried about weapons of mass destruction, Korea would have made more sense don't you think.

I support our soldiers-singular. I hate that the phrase "troops" keeps getting tossed around-it takes the human out of the phrase by making a group. So it is less of an event to hear of our troops than to hear a soldier. When it is put out as one person, a soldier-then you stop to realize that they are a soldier and likely a parent, someone's child and a host of other things. Reffering to them as a soldier makes them more of a person than talking about the faceless collective term of troops. But yes, I support the people serving and the famillies that are missing them.

I do, but I feel deceived as well. If we're going to go in and fight we need to see everything. I want to see the slaughter, the misery, the chaos, the meaninglessness of war. I want to see soldiers coffins coming off the planes. I want to see Iraqi families crying, the bloodshed, the horror, the prisons, the acts of militants as well as acts of stupidity on soldiers part. This war is too shielded. Therefore I don't trust what the troops are doing over there, their mission as well as this government. I am not in the military but every day I indirectly work with the Navy and Marines. I see their faces. I see their missing limbs. I see their vacuous blank stares. I feel sorrow for them. They are the used ones.

Yes I support the troops. I also support them staying there and getting the job done. Most soldiers that you talk to want to stay and finish the job. Otherwise, all the soldiers that have given their lives up to this point will be for naught. Regardless of what you feel about the war, why we are there, or who you may want to blame, the soldiers are doing their job. They all volunteered to serve our country and give their lives if necessary. Now it is our job to support and honor them for that courage.

YES!! these soldiers did not ask for this war but we are in it now and they are all putting their lives on the 'line"every day for our freedom and i thank them all for it and pray every day for them and their families because i am a military(USAF) mom whose son is in IRAQ and i am very proud of him and all the others and even though some of us do not agree with what is going on we must support the brave men&women over there! I get upset when people put down our troops or say that if you are rep.dem. or what-ever that you do not care about what happens to them and do you honestly think that in "TIME OF WAR) that they really care about your political position !! All they know is that they are ALL there for the same reason "FREEDOM"" Thank you all and god bless and bring you all home safely!!! USAF MOM!!!

The UK has rarely given credit to our servicemen and women. Once the fighting is over many will come home with damaged bodies and damaged minds. Thirty years from now Iraq will be forgotten! Our servicemen are wonderful as they obey orders and go where Parliament sends them. It's the pigs in the parliamentry pig sty who need sorting out. The next time politicians declare a war, we should tell them to go and fight it themselves with Bliar in the lead!

I support the troops 100%. They're just doing their jobs.

But I have never supported the war, which I think was based on a pack of lies.

I hope the troops come home soon, for their sakes and for the sakes of the people of Iraq.

Yes of course. But I was on the loseing side in the Rhodesian bush war - that was tough. I recall stealing an armoured car and taking it home and nobody even missed it. It was a sad time.
