How much money should I give to my aunt/uncle/cousin/brother/milkman/podiatrist's wedding?

How do I ask for money in my wedding invitations, and how do I do a Dollar Dance and Dollar Tree?

How old should I be before I get married? Am I old enough/young enough/ready?

Why won't my bridesmaids/guests/family/friends do everything they can to spoil me and shower me with gifts and attention on my special day?

I was born under a full moon at 12:35am with an extra toe and my birthdate is 01/01/85. When will I find someone to marry me?

Ahh...the joys of Yahoo Answers.

So, real questions...What is the average age of regular answerers here in the Weddings section? I love Yahoo Answers...but does anyone else get frustrated with the same questions over and over again?

Thank you for the Stars. I thought you guys (the regular posters here in Weddings) would really get a kick out of a goofy question like this one. I'm glad I was able to make some of you laugh. :-D

Ooh, by the way, I'm 26.

that was great! its about time somebody said it! I love coming on yahoo answers, especially the wedding section but some people are just too much! and its the same question 50 million times a day with the odd few worth answering in between. and I hate when you get asked your opinion on a dress or and idea and if you dont like it you get like 10 thumbs down...hello! dont ask for an opinion if you only what those of they people who think like you do. whats the point of even askign then? and some people are soooo immature. I'd really like to know the age of these brides who whine that their Maid of Honour has a life of her own and cant be on call 24/7 to listen to the bride cry that her future husband doesnt care what kind of flowers she orders. and that because they already have forks and spoons they need money as a gift when they shouldnt be thinking about gifts in the first place. drives me crazy!...oh...and I'm 22 and have been married for 2 years and 3 months now!

Haaaahahahahaaaa!

Man, do I feel old on this forum :-/ Actually, the repeat questions are even worse in cameras. I don't want to think about how many times someone has asked what the cheeepest best digital picture camera in the world is for under $100!!
Obviously very few people ever bother to search before they ask.

I usually try to answer serious questions with at least a reasonably sincere reply.

Do you think people seem so young on YA because those little personal avatar icons all look about 14?

I am 50, BTW, guess that means I'm in the old geezerette category, lol!

Haaaahahahahaaaa! Man, do I think historical in this discussion board :-/ Actually, the repeat questions are even worse in cameras. I do not wish to feel approximately how repeatedly anybody has requested what the cheeepest fine virtual photograph digital camera on this planet is for less than $one hundred!! Obviously only a few folks ever trouble to seek earlier than they ask. I almost always attempt to reply severe questions with no less than a moderately honest answer. Do you feel folks appear so younger on YA since the ones little private avatar icons all seem approximately 14? I am 50, BTW, wager that implies I'm within the historical geezerette class, lol!

I got a chuckle out of this......

I'm 24.

I doubt anyone EVER looks at the already answered questions. I really think this is because A) They somehow think they will get something TOTALLY different.... which is really rare especially in the "ask for money" questions. or B) They have an answer in their head that they really WANT to hear and will ignore anything contrary to that.

On that note, what really gets under my skin is when someone asks a question and then posts a TOTAL copy/paste of the same thing 15 minutes later.

To be honest, I have starred a couple of the "typical" questions we see here and sometimes copy/paste my answers.... since they aren't going to change. "No, you cannot ask for money", etc. LOL I figure if we here are going to be BOMBARDED with the same exact questions that they could have looked up 5000 times, then they are going to get the same answer I gave someone else.

Don't get me wrong, I try to be conscientious, but there is a limit to my patience. I give what I consider "real" questions (like this one) my time and breese over others.

On one more tangent, rant.... I really get tired of seeing "Im 17 & my bf pruprosed. Can I got murrried?" In a word, no. You apparently can't even put a proper sentence together.

23. I definitely get sick of the same questions over and over again. Especially the how do we ask for money instead of gifts question. My usual response to the "am I too young" questions is if you have to ask if you're too young to do something, you're probably too young to do it! The other answerer was right. No one reads the resolved questions. I usually at least try to look some up before I post a question. And another pet peeve, no one looks at the categories they post in! Its not like it takes a rocket scientist to look and see what category your question should go in. Sorry. I get on my soapbox. I need to stop being so long winded! Oh, and another thing, a lot of people don't read the entire question before they answer it. I think they're just point grubbing.

33.

I do not feel frustrated about the questions.. I always skip the stupid horoscope questions and the never seen before " I'm 17...am I too young for marriage ?" type... and go straight to genuine and mature questions.

I've been EXTREMELY lucky and I've always have gotten mature, helpful, insightful, honest answers from mature people. It could be because I write in complete sentences and use proper English, unlike some people that believe that "feonce" is a word.

I must admit, however, that I do sometimes answer the stupid questions with a comparable stupid answer. Sometimes I can't resist hehhe

Thank you for the laugh!

PS/ Ah! and what about those " I want to marry an American citizen for a visa" The nerve!

Good luck

Great question! Very funny - and SO TRUE! I always try to go through the search at the top before asking any questions but why other people don't do this, I have no idea! If they seriously want to know the answer, searching it isn't that difficult! They'll find loads of other people answering their exact same question in the closed answers section! ;o)

Oh and I'm also 26!

funny! very entertaining! i agree it's just the same questions over and over again, it gets annoying after awhile. I've been coming on here ever since i started coming onto yahoo answers and all i see are the same exact questions all the time. finally someone says something about it.
BTW I'm 17 and i don't know how this started but for the past four years i have been the families event planner. I'm not joking i just have a gift for planning events such as weddings, showers, and birthdays. i come on here to help not answer the same question over and over again.

Man-you hit the nail on the head!
I am 23...I've only been checking out the wedding section since I've been engaged (that was back in April), and already I've noticed the answers get numbingly synonymous...
Occasionally I'll find someone asks a question I've been wondering about (Like the Gerber Daisy question from earlier), but for the most part, they make me laugh...

31...

I'm recently married and love giving the advice, but i do find myself answering the same questions over and over.

In the Forum section of Answers, someone suggested they make it a requirement that if a question had already been asked, they couldn't ask their question. But i think that would be very difficult to monitor.

I don't mind the same questions being asked if they are genuine questions, i get aggravated by the "fake" questions or the "just to get a rise out of someone" questions.

I'm just thankful for copy and paste...i just go back to one I've already answered, copy and paste. Save myself some typing time!!

Regardless of it all....I'm still addicted!
