I think you're mixing up the new Acura TL Type-S and the Honda Civic Si, both of which are new for 2007.

The Type-S has a slightly bigger engine than the regular TL (3.5L vs. 3.2L) and more HP (286 vs. 258), along with a stiffer suspension, bigger wheels, and other typical performance add-ons. I'm not really impressed with the Type-S, I don't think it's a worthwhile upgrade in performance or appearance, but I think it's for the people who think the TL is too common and will only buy one that's "special".

The Civic Si basically replaces the Acura RSX/RSX Type-S, putting out close to 200hp with a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine.

The TLsi is 5x faster (you'll lose gas mileage. Any Acura/Honda based car will always pop an Si logo next to the ultra performance model.

20k on an Acura/Honda product ain't nothing, for you, it's a "can't lose". With high gas prices, however, I'd just take the Tl and wish I had the si.

don't get a TL any older than 2004. they have transmission failure matters. yet they fixed the project with the 04 fashions. RSX is sporty and could no longer seat 4 conveniently. TSX is a effective sized sedan and is a 4 cyl. TL is greater of a much bigger luxury sedan, yet its sporty and quickly. that's a 6cyl. The TSX is greater like the TL then that's like the RSX. The RSX is vastly distinctive - smaller, sportier. The TSX and TL are the two sedans.
