That Americans and other immigrants who came to the US through the normal, legal process are getting screwed!!

Bush admin can keep pushing this on us because they have no clue of what Americans want!

The message will be that more illegals can keep coming here, wait 20 or so years for the next amnesty (or whatever suppporters want to call it), and wait for it to happen again because no one will ever learn a lesson from it.

Actions speak louder than words and that fence should have already been built if they want to tighten security with this bill. I don't believe it.

I think Bush's real plan is to get most of them to join the military for future reference. They should not be allowed to push this on this.

That it is ok to run an end road around the law and take what you want. That's right kiddies-if you don't like a law then you just do what you want (be it at work, home, or public policy) and throw a fit to get your way. There are LEGAL ways to enter the country folks. Sorry-but that is the honest answer. Just because someone gets a foot on US soil doesn't mean they deserve to stay over someone who is trying to flee a nation with actual problems. To bad the refugees in Darfur can't swing a leg over to US soil, then they would be able to escape the genocide. But hey, I guess wanting to make $7/hour in the US is a more pressing matter. Face it folks-we want to let Hispanics enter the US to do labor jobs US citizens don't want to do and we get into conflicts based on what resources we need from the country. But we don't get into civil wars-what will the history books say about our generation?

In 1986 conservative Republican President Reagan pushed to have all unlawful immigrants given citizenship and the Immigrant Reform and administration Act became exceeded . The consensus is this became sturdy for the rustic so why might it no longer be sturdy now ? Illegals often do the paintings that US electorate basically refuse to do or take extra than a number of menial jobs that pass unfilled .there isn't any evidence that the life of those illegals has in any way contributed to the financial/un-employment issues we face . it style of feels to me those struggling with legalization are doing so from a RACIAL perspective . Your sarcastic remark on the subject of the President desirous to be superb to he illegals is universal racist talk .in reality it incredibly is electorate who ought to thank those illegals for doing the paintings we can't do which has stored the financial equipment going exceptionally interior the farming / foodstuff processing section .

That Non military Americans are a bunch of spineless paranoid cry babies!
Or similar to what Paris Hilton displayed when the rough gets going the rich can't deal with it! And that they have No gratitude for those who have taken care of their elderly, children, and bellies!
And that it's time to rid of that stigma.

Or continue being in each others ways and possible internal as well external stife.

The message: "Come on over!" the same as it was in 1986.

I don't know what Bush is thinking. All I have heard is speculation and none of that seems convincing.

Close the borders, now! No Amnesty! Where's the fence?

.

In my opinion, the message we are sending is the wrong one. It says to those millions of legal immigrants "Thanks for observing our laws and trying to legitimately make your lives better here. HOWEVER, we're going to just go ahead and legalize these people who are here illegally and are currently leeching off of our system. Why? Because we'd rather do that than fund the enforcement of our borders."

We are saying " Illegals, come on down!" Just like that Price is Right show. Did I hear Bob Barker is being sued? And the price is right for them , it's free!

The message we would be sending is that we do not take our laws seriously so neither should anyone else.
