YET Vatican City is encircled by walls and heaven is protected by Saint Peter's Gate?

If walls don't work, why are they so popular across America?!? Why are we building one in Iraq with American money?!? How do you think we can do anything about current illegal immigration and immigrants if we can't stop the flow?!? Legislation only works if people have to follow the laws.

And don't tell us, we can't do it. We waste billions every year in America! We landed on the moon almost 40 years ago - with less technology, less capital, and in less time.

As someone suggested above, most Mexicans are Catholics. The Catholic church is happy to add more Catholics to the church. They are thinking..."more Mexicans, more Catholics, more money". No different from such unions as farm workers unions, teachers unions, etc. They all welcome the thought of more members to their unions.

Yes it's true 99% of the Mexican population is Catholic, but this is not the reason why they are not supporting the wall, It's because like the Berlin wall it won't resolve the main problem the people will still try to cross through any other part of the border increasing the deaths of the people that will be trying to pass, Not that any of you care but that is why the Catholic chuch is agains it. It will be only a waste of money

The final time you observed a amassing of illegals marching via our streets screaming for immigration reform, what proportion Canadian flags did you spot? while is the final time you observed a piece of writing relating to the Canadian drug cartels and their murderous activities being carried out close to Blaine, Washington? My neighbor on the left thinks that what I relatively have belongs to him besides so comes on my sources on each occasion he chooses. My neighbor on the nicely suited respects my sources rights. i will build a fence on the left area of my domicile. See how that works?

For the same reason any decent American is. We want a real solution to the immigration problem--not another exercise in right-wing racism. Whichis all the "wall" is.

The RC Church wants a controlling vote here in the US.

The Law and or laws are just to intimidate the lessor informed. Immigration is a real problem and it is going to take more then intimidation to solve the problem

A wall is a very regressive, immoral, degrading, and inhumane solution to the immigration question, and as such, the Catholic church is against it. Most people who come here who are originally from south the border are Catholic, so the church has a special interest in them.

Excellent point!!!! I don't see them opening up Vatican City and they have those pretty Swiss Guards to protect it. Isn't that kind of a double standard? And are they against every other country protecting its borders or just the USA? They wish to live in an IDEAL world and that just isn't the case.

How come they are organizing post card writing campaigns IN CHURCHES to lobby for amnesty and family chain migration? Don't we even check for tax exemption? That CLEARLY goes over the line.
