I don't actually declare war on believers of any religion.
I absolutely love people's religions and beliefs. I don't really belong to a religion, but i really respect your views.
I try to check out as many religions as i can and i try to learn something that might come into use in my life.
But there are so many religions, don't you think? Maybe some people don't understand this and are actually wondering whether there IS a God out there and if there is one that actually exhists.. it's like pick a god any god and follow him...
But in fact... nearly all the religions have a link to one another. except in fact, Bhuddism. This is all about the mind.
So why do you think that most people do not believe? They believe themselves that your religions are nothing all because everyone follows a different one.
Also.. what proof other than the Bible, Qur'an etc. do people have enough to believe?

I'm sorry you feel that way. But to a non-believer (an Atheist), religion is NOT above criticism and it DOES assert an unduly large influence on society. This is something I feel deserves to be criticized. When bad things happen because of religion, religious dogma is sometimes used to defend this (i.e. Homosexuals shouldn't be able to marry because the Bible says so). At this point it will sooner or later be impossible to avoid questioning the validity of this dogma (i.e. So what if it does?).
If one's presupposition is that Evangelical Christianity should permeate society and dictate its laws, a constitutionally-minded American will be seen as a rebel.

I have never declared war. In fact I have been physically attacked for my beliefs. I don't condemn others to hell for not believing in my god, nor do I force my beliefs on to other people. I only live my life day by day with my own views of life and the universe. If someone views the fact that I don't agree with them when it comes to deities as an attack, then that is their problem, not mine. I will worship what I will and you will worship what you will. It is that simple.

We declared war? Really? I guess I missed that memo.
Sweetie pie, there is no atheist conspiracy. Rest easy. Most of us are only reacting to the Christians who try and force their beliefs on everybody else.
If you think Harry Potter is evil, don't read it.
If you think abortion is immoral, don't have one.
If you think homosexuality is a sin, don't do it.
If you want to believe fiction over science, do so (but don't try and get your local public school to TEACH your fiction).
BUT don't feel you have the god given RIGHT to tell the rest of us we can't do what you think is wrong. Keep it to yourself!

War was declared? When was that? I knew I should have watched CNN instead of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Somehow I think you have a warped opinion regarding "war."
Iraq is a war.
This is a discussion.
And when you are asked a question you cannot answer, then it is you that is lacking, not us.
And it is Christians that until outlawed in the US in 2003 tried to jail homosexuals for up to 20 years simply for engaging in physical affection. That, my dear, was an act of war. Questioning the existence of God is academia.

It's not that we declare war; we're forced to defend ourselves.
Theists, especially christians, try to control and restrict us based on their views. If all christians stop crusading against science, culture, art, sex and sexuality, religious freedom and such, and stop telling everybody else they're going to be tortured throughout eternity unless they join you, I assure you that you won't encounter nearly as much hostility.

I haven't declared war. I merely disbelieve. If it seems to you that my disbelief is an attack, perhaps it's a problem of perception.
