Bath the cat. Thoroughly rinse the fabric softener out...you may also want to use some Dawn dish soap to help clean the cat. However, keep in mind that many cats DO NOT like water. Good luck!

My cat fairly loves the mesh lining of my clothing and sweaters. he will eat holes in them that are irrepairable. i might want to signify attempting to save this stuff out of attain of your cat, extraordinarily the textile softener pondering it would want to be poisonous to them. try storing your fabrics softener in a tuperware field if that's saved in an section the cat can get to really. no longer confident why cats like that stuff. My previous cat used to love chewing on plastic grocery bags. no longer in ordinary words replaced into it stressful, inspite of the indisputable fact that it replaced into noisy too.

i would say wash him in luke warm water, no soap. as this might bond with the softener, and he already has had enough detergent for one day. dont let him lick it off himself as this will be toxic to him and could make him sick. be gentle when washing him as the detergent might cause him to have a reaction, with a rash and or loss of fur. if you do notice this, or he is grooming this area more than usual, he may have had a reaction so take him to the vet, if you feel it needs to be seen. good luck i hope your cat is okay :o)
