I dont think there is anything wrong with that at all, I myself am in a inter-racial relationship. As long as the person makes you happy, I dont think it matters who you are dating and what color they are. I really hope that your family will support you in this. Good luck!

It means you're attracted to people's personalities as opposed to just a certain look. That's a good thing! I'm sure that when you decide to get married, you'll pick a girl with a good heart, and your parents will embrace her. We had the same issue in my family. We're Indian, and pretty much everyone has married Indians. It was a big deal when my cousin married a Chinese guy, but once the family met him, they all fell in love with his kind, generous, caring nature. Most importantly, he treats my cousin right!

It is not your problem it is your parents problem . and maybe they are worried about how you will be perceived in public with a girl out of your race . Some ppl will stare and be rude and might even make a comment . your parents dont want you getting hurt for dating someone out of your race . I think that is all they are trying to tell you . But good luck and date who you are comfortable with . In the meantime sit down and have a talk with your parents and let them know you understand what they are saying . good luck .

Go with who you are attracted to, if you find someone that you are compatible with then don't worry about what anyone has to say, including family.
