can a chihuaha and dashound get along?

Yeah, sure. Why not? If you already have one of the two, get the other in the opposite sex, pairs of opposite sex get along a little better, less competition. If you get them both at the same time, so long as they're young and/or properly socialized, they'll be good buddies.

Any dog can get along with any other dog if they are properly socialized.
