My kids both were walking at 8 months. We would always hold onto their hands and walk them EVERYWHERE we could. Then eventually when they're starting to get it, you little by little, let go. Unfortunately because of your sons age, he might not be so into trying out this new thing because he is so used to crawling so it might take a little bit more time, my niece was about that age when she finally got into it and it did take her longer because of lack of interest.

Our son didn't walk until 18 months. We put pictures up on the walls where if he stood he could just reach it with his hands, it encouraged him to stand up and move left or right towards them. We also placed toys at opposite ends of the couches and coffee tables to get him to cruise. Holding his hands and walking with him helped a lot as well. Don't rush though, he will when he's ready =}

Im happy you asked this simply by fact my son would be 13 months on Wednesday and he nevertheless isnt "formally" strolling yet the two. He has been late with different issues yet early with others Lol He didnt initiate crawling until eventually 9 one million/2 months old! He sat up devoid of help after 6 months that's universal. He began keeping his bottle at 6 months and ever in view that we havent held a single bottle returned and im loving that! And he began pulling up on issues in the previous he became crawling. So i might say WE basically ought to attend and notice and supply them extra time. Like extra matured mothers have mentioned "Dont make your little ones strengthen up swifter than they might desire to!" Lol sturdy success to the two our little ones :)

My daughter started walking at 12 1/2 months. Every child is different. When your son is ready to start walking, he will.

let him crawl everywhere. it's a great way to get around and if he's happy with it, let him be. At 13 months old, he is perfectly within the norm for crawling and not being interested in walking yet. Let him delvelop on his own time and he willb e better off for it. One day, he will figure out that he can get there "better" by walking but, unitl then, let him crawl. As soon as he learns to walk, he will learn to run, and then you will wish he didn't learn to walk so soon! I promise!

my son was 16 months. dont rush it. have someone sit across from you very close at first stand baby up and call him to you. each time you do this put another couple of spaces between you. it works. he will walk soon. let him do it at his pace so his bones and legs arent damaged

They learn at their own pace. One of my sisters was 9 months when she walked and the other was 16 months. They were both fine. One was in gymnastics and the other played softball in highschool.
