Ananias and Sapphria lied to the Holy Ghost and fell down dead in Acts chapter 5.
We see a lot on here this is happening all the time with people sinning against the Holy Ghost. Not falling dead but rather the sin. Only by Gods grace have they not been destroyed yet.
You are probably talking about blasphemy. Blasphemy is speaking against the Holy Ghost. When someone has blasphemed God will reject them because there is no forgiveness for this. If you are concerned about this it is a good sign that you have never done this. Those who do this don't care about what the spirit of God thinks.

Do you mean when you've commited blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? The only unforgivable sin according to Jesus? If so, from the context of the passage it's when you call a miracle of someone with the Spirit a work of evil, or of our enemy. The passage may have just been hyperbole, but better safe than sorry. A good tree will produce good fruits.

Those that sin against the Holy Spirit will not be called of God.They are forever lost.Turned over to Satan, reprobates without a conscience. If they are still hearing the call to repent. They have not sinned against the Holy Ghost.

Pastor Doug Bacheleor (www.amazingfacts.com) explained it on one of his bible studys that when you sin against the holy spirit, it means that you willfully choose to ignore that little voice and sin purposly. ( I guess kinda like that movie where that guy vows to commit every sin to get back at God.) But ask your pastor. They may be able to explain it a little better than I can.

Two ways...reject Christ and stop caring that you have rejected Him.As long as you care about or worry about sinning against the Holy Spirit, you haven't.

You'll know when you have sinned against the Holy Spirit when you have done something that is aganst God.
When it is truly aganst God, not your Church.
Read your Bible, follow what IT says. Not what the man from the Pulpit may tell you.

This refers to hating the light of knowledge and understanding that the universal educators bring to humanity. It does not refer to hating the universal educator or the institutions established to formalize their teachings. Therefore, if we hate the good that the universal educators bring to humanity, we need to take serious inventory of what's going on with that. I'm not referring to man-made encrustations heaped upon the pure teachings of these universal educators, which deserve our contempt.
