Why does the religious teaching focus more on the intellectual than on the spiritual? They seem to talk to the mind but have forgotten that spirituality is about the heart as well.

Well, for one thing, religion in a developed country is often about teaching compassion. We can be more effective in feeding the hungry, clothing the naked and sheltering the homeless if we use our science and technology more effectively. And more responsibly, which includes things like creative uses of recycled materials and eliminating the use of dangerous chemicals.
No, they don't forget about the heart, but they recognize that they head and the heart must work together.

I doubt it's wealthy nations that stress reason and science as a means to understand the divine.
Look at USians; 50% don't believe in Evolution; 50% believe the earth's only 6000 years old.
A wealthy country that's so backward; it's scary.
The divine has no place in Science, Logic and Reason because Science, Logic and Reason has nothing to do with the divine.
Pretty simple really, isn’t it?.
You can't learn spirituality - it's something that must be experienced.
Have we got all that sorted now, have we?

Other than what my man said about them understanding reality. It's also a simple association. Wealthy Nations stress science and reason to understand the divine because they capitalize on the need/want for humans to understand the divine by pushing them to believe that science and reason are behind understanding the divine.
by pusing people to believe that science will uncover these mysteries it will push more people to dig into science and reason, therefore pushing the technological advancement of the society further.
Inversely, If everyone in the population were stressed that it was mystical and religious everyone would be studying religion and philosophy, instead of science and reason. If all of society was doing this the country would soon fall off as being technologically advanced and its wealth would be overcome by another wealth driven society.

Because in ancient times people thought the Heart made all the choice. with advances in science and philosophy the general philosophy has moved from the heart makes all the choice to the mind/brain is the center of reason and thinking while the heart is just passion.

Wealthy nations have better educational systems, and science has disproven religion. Therefore, the well educated kids can see that religion is false quite easily. Therefore, religion is fighting with its last breath to have some credibility. And the only way they can do this is by inventing pseudoscience such as ID, Dr Dino, Lee Strobel, etc.
I assume this is the "science" you're talking about, with regards to religion.

The reason the nations are wealthy is they use science and reason religion dumbs down the brain thats why muslim nations don`t invent anything

They have forgotten what they were taught. We do not need many things or science. we just all want to play God. We all want to have power. History lesson for you name one civilization who tried to overcome everything and overpower everyone else that is still in power.? There isn't one.

The wealthy nations are the ones stressing science in our faith because such as the Scientology Church and the Science Churches originated spiritually to the Sardis church one of the seven churches established by the apostles of the LORD JESUS CHRIST in Asia minor in 4BC. But the body parts of the christian body which Sardis church represents are the head and mind. And the head and mind of the world which is reckoned to technology are the industrialized nations of the world.
