I have the same problem, off and on, with my girls. I found the solution from an experienced breeder.
Give him an acidophilus capsule every day. I would start off with 2 capsules a day for a week or two. Acidophilus is a naturally occurring bacteria in the body which balances yeast, which also naturally is present. If there is an imbalance ( a lack of bacteria) the yeast grows out of control.
Acidophilus is an ingredient of yoghurt, so many people give their dogs yoghurt as a daily treat. But when it really gets out of balance, you need the capsules. Acidophilus aids digestion and boosts the immune system.
Antibiotics kill off the good bacteria, as well as the bad. So if your dog is on antibiotics, give a capsule every day to replenish the bacteria.
Edit - You can get acidophilus at a drug store or health food store. It will be labelled "lactobacillus acidophilus".

I have used these wonderful products for both my dogs and cats for over 30yrs. All the natural remedies were devised by a vet who, on reflection, was well 'ahead of his time' by advocating herbal solutions. Use Denes as a complementary remedy; your vet will not object. The best thing about these products are, if they don't immediately improve your pet's condition, they will certainly never do any harm!
Give it a try or ask for further information. Good luck!

Where is the yeast infection? I feed my Rottweiler 1/4 cup of plain yogurt a day to prevent ear infections caused by yeast.
Another natural remedy is Goldenseal and Echinacia.

I have heard that probiotics can help with these infections. You can buy them in the refrigerator at the health food store. You just give it every day with their food.
