Due to the fact that these
Christians use the Protestant Old Testament which is lacking 7 entire books 2 (Tobias, Judith, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus/Sirach, Baruch, I Maccabees, and II Maccabees), 3 chapters of Daniel and 6 chapters of Esther may be one of the reasons they ask catholics so many questions.
For the Sola Scriptura this is too bad .
In the 16th c., Luther removed those books from the canon that lent support to orthodox doctrine, relegating them to an appendix. Removed in this way were books that supported such things as:
prayers for the dead (Tobit 12:12; 2 Maccabees 12:39-45),
Purgatory (Wisdom 3:1-7),
intercession of dead saints (2 Maccabees 15:14),
and intercession of angels as intermediaries (Tobit 12:12-15).
The lesson, though, is this: relying on the "Bible alone" is a bad idea; we are not to rely solely on Sacred Scripture to understand Christ's message. While Scripture is "given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16-17), it is not sufficient for reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness. It is the Church that is the "pillar and ground of Truth" (1 Timothy 3:15)! Jesus did not come to write a book; He came to redeem us, and He founded a Sacramental Church through His apostles to show us the way. It is to them, to the Church Fathers, to the Sacred Deposit of Faith, to the living Church that is guided by the Holy Spirit, and to Scripture that we must prayerfully look.

No comparision beteen the two Books:
Quran is found in its original text & scripture.
Prophet Muhammad managed to learn it by heart and created a group of believers who could recite whole Quran before him - hence the Quran was preserved in his life time.
There is no single Hadith which differs with the Quranic verses because the Hadith is taken as explanation of Quran. It is a common rule that if any Hadith is found in contradiction the same is not true Hadith and is rejected by the scholars.
You cannot find a difference in Quran and Hadith.
We believe Jesus Christ was word of God because his birth was a foretold prophecy. What Jesus tought or said to his follower was word of God. But we cannot accept the words of Disciples as word of God! This is the point of conflict when every thing was mixed into word of God. Even the personal letter of Paul and his inspiration have been considered as word of God - the obvious reason of self-contradictions.
God blessings!

At 1 Tim 3:16, The BIBLE says that "All scripture is inspired of GOD". That means that even though men were the writers, the words were placed in their brains by Jehovah GOD. Reading throughout the bible, you will find a common theme. The WILL of GOD must be done and the name of the TRUE GOD must be sanctified or glorified. Through out the bible the stories all have that common thread and it goes from the beginning of time to the chosen people, the Israelites, all the way to the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and beyond to the Apostles. They all had one purpose which was previously mentioned. There is nothing confusing about that.

First thing is to understand Trinity. The Trinity is the three persons of God not three separate gods (look at this like a person is made up of a mind, body and soul) God is The Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
The Bible is the inspired word of God. In some places God speaks (such as to Moses), in others Jesus speaks (New Testament) in others the Holy Spirit works through prophets (such as John in Revelation). It is man trying to understand the Bible out of context or without the aid of the Holy Spirit that causes confusion.
I must also say that many of the bad things that have been done by a church in God's name was reprimanded by God (see revelation) and most (with the exception of what is in the Bible itself) was done directly against what God commanded us to do.

Everyone interrprets the bible differently when they read it. God speaks to us differently through his word. I don't think people will ever agree on certain things in the bible. It is, in some ways, a real mystery. I read it because it is God's holy word and the closest book I can get to what God is trying to tell us humans down here on earth. The bible shouldn't be confusing, however, I have to admit I have come across a few things that made me go Hmmmmmmmmm. I continue to believe and have faith though. After all, it was written by men "inspired by God".

The bible is inspired by God, in an ultimate sense. But He does work through believers. But you will find the revelation fits together. Texts like the Koran veer off, and deny the existing salvation plan, so that their spirit-being author(s) may mislead adherents, with possibly unpleasant eternal consequences. God needs to save us of our sins. The epistles of the New Testament do talk about spiritual things you can't understand if you have not been born again.

Any confusion in the Bible is a result of human understanding, not God's ability to communicate His word to His people or keep His Word whole and complete. Jesus IS the Word of God, so you can't really confuse Jesus' words with the Word of God, so that part of your proposal, at least, is right out the window.

Because the bible was written by different men in different languages and over the past 2000 years have been "translated" by people with agendas. There are major differences between the Old and New Testament, plus that lovely dogma. I only pay attention to what Jesus said, not the letters from Peter and Paul who had SERIOUS issues, nor anything dogmatic. Basically Jesus said to love and allow love to enter into you. His ideas were very Zen like, it is people with hate in their hearts who come up with the burning in hell etc.

The Bible was written first. All the manuscript evidence shows it has never changed. Therefore when the Koran ,book of Mormon or any other cult tries to change those words, they are the ones causing confusion.

God sends His Spirit to give believers revelation regarding His word. Everybody else will be confused. Jesus spoke in parables, and even his disciples didn't always understand! But He knew their hearts, so He was willing to explain the meaning to them. God will do the same for us if our hearts are right toward Him.
