What I meant was products in your home, such as oatmeal, vinegar, aloe, etc... Noxema is not found in my pantry. When I say store bought I mean brand name products like Noxema.

vinegar i use apple cider, put on a cotton ball and rub you will stink but it takes the sting out and helps you peel less...depending on how burnt, do it often....every couple hours.

They are right even though it's not something you would find in your pantry...GO GET NOXEMA!!! I just got sunburnt really bad and tried vinegar, lotion, aloe, cool compress, and even an aloe plant...nothing worked as good as noxema, it even says it on the label. The only downside is that it doesn't rub in and so it leaves a white residue!!

Ordinary vinegar in a spray bottle - the smell won't hang around long, honest.
Vinegar. Yes honestly
Add it to your bath, put some in a spray bottle and spritz the burn with it and let it dry (the smell will dissipate fairly quickly)
If you can't face that, aloe vera gel is the only other thing I put on any kind of burn. Use the pure stuff, not the aftersun.
Oh and do replace lost fluids by drinking more

Try putting fresh aloe vera plant onto the sunburn. Just split open the plant and rub the gel onto the sunburn. You can also try plain ice (make sure you wrap it in a paper towel or something to avoid ice burn!!!) Any sort of non-irritating moisturizer you can find around your home can also help a lot.......I'm not sure about this one, but I've heard putting more sunscreen on the burn can help it heal faster. Anyway hope it gets better!

Aloe Vera........the gel from the plant leaves. An Aloe Vera plant is very handy to keep around. It works for all sorts of minor burns, and can even help with more severe ones.

white vinegar will help pull out the burn. soak in the tub with a cupful of vinegar to relieve the pain. Also an oatmeal bath will help relieve some of the tightness and itching. A shea- cocoa buter lotion will help keep you from peeling. Good luck

100% Aloe Vera is the best solution in my book. Always worked the best for me. In fact i used to grow an Aloe Vera plant and if i ever got sunburned (which is frequent) i would just break a piece of the plant off, peel it, and rub it on my skin and it worked great!!

Noxzema, the face cream will help. White vinegar will also take some of the heat.
