If God has created existence then it must be so that he is separate from existence. If separate from existence then he must dwell in the realm of non-existence. If inhabiting the realm of non-existence then he himself must be non-existent.
If we cannot have existence or purpose without a higher being then God cannot have existence or purpose as he himself has no higher being. If he does indeed have a higher being then that higher being must have another higher being to give it existence and purpose and so on to infinity, which is impractical and highly improbable.

Your initial premise is false therefore anything deduced from it is highly suspect (to err on the side of understatement). If God did anything (like creation) then God exists.
God is not merely a higher or superior being but a supreme being - having no predecessor. Yes, this does leave us with finite minds attempting to grasp a regression into infinity but do we not have a problem whether we believe everything 'started' with God or in some other way? Either we are faced with infinite regression (no beginning) or a beginning preceded by nothingness. Both equally hard to grasp in my book.
On a lighter note, Terry Prachett (Disc World Books) summed up the latter theory thus:
In the beginning there was nothing; it exploded!

Basically you are thinking this coz of the Law and Effect which we human being face in the world .
God is not a physical object , God is a spirit , The Eternal God .
God created Time and space , imgaine the world without the sun and the moon , would there be any time? no , there wont be.
God is infinite and we are finite.
Just imagine that the carpets start to talk with each other , who the carpets are talking
carpet 1 : " Hey friend , who created our creator? , How can he talk and move and eat and drink?"
carpet 2 " Coz he is a human being , he is not limited to stay on one place just like us"
Same is with the God. It is an attribute to a human being that he is created and then he dies .
God , according to 99 times in Islam , also have the following names
Al Awwal - The First
Al Akhir - The Last
As samad - The Self Sufficient Master
So we can see that its quite evident that we cant really imagine God the way we do imagine things in the world.

God created nature and therefore is separate from nature. Not existence. He exists as much as you and I.
(Incidentally the whole 'separate from existence MUST equal non-existence' is flawed. What if there's a hyper-existence? But you can throw this whole bracketed section out because it's got nothing to do with reality. It's nature you're meaning, not existence)
