I have heard many people talk about the churches only wanting money and whatnot, but I am a person who tithes one every paycheck. I have found that in times when we didn't tithe, our finances were worse than in times that we do. Recently we were in a position where we didn't know if we were even going to be able to buy groceries that week, we tithed and when we got out of church there was a message from a friend wanting to know if my husband could do some side work for him, he would pay in advance if needed. I almost started crying.

I was just wondering if anyone else who pays a tithe or offering receive back from God in this way?

Not to be misunderstood. We do give in obedience because the money we get is not ours, but God's. We do not give to get, but I do not call it coincidence that when we give in faith, we are ALWAYS taken care of.

I'll try to keep this short and sweet.

Yes we do reap rewards when we willingly give to the Lord.
I have seen his blessing personally many times over.

I don't really have the time at the moment to go into all the details. God has allowed me to do so much with so little. I have seen people who are not obediant to the scriptures who are financially better off than me many times over who are struggling to have the smallest portion of what God has given me.

Recently my wife and I had saved money to buy something we really wanted. It took us awhile to get 1/5 of what we needed. One night I woke up concerned about a preacher friend of mine about how he could afford taking a trip to Africa. I told the Lord if you bless me with monry I'd help him spread the gospel. The Lord spoke to me and said why don't you give what you got. I thought I don't have anything ,then I thought about the money we had saved.

After serval days of thinking about this we decided to give what we had saved to the preacher.

A few days later my wife's boss called her in the office at work. And told her more or less that they have found favor in her job she was performing and that they would like to say thankyou. They created a new position for her at work and gave her a promotion she didn't even know was possible to have. Just the raise alone that she received in one year, is ten times what we gave to the preacher and more money than what we needed for the thing we wanted to buy.

Yes, I have many amazing stories of God providing. I was listening to a pastor on the radio who said he had been a pastor for over 30 years and of all the people that had come to the church asking for financial help, he had never seen someone who tithed need help.
The motive is not to get something back, but instead to acknowledge God with your first fruits in thanks for all he does and has done and will do for you. Everything we receive is from him anyway. It is also an opportunity to be used in his service. I pray that he multiplies what I give to spread the Word across the world and help his people.
However, he does say in Malachi 3:8-12 it says that it is robbing God if you do not title and suggests you test him and see what all he will do for you if you do tithe.

I have been tithing for only a short period of time (about 2 months) I have noticed a deference in my financial situation. I was getting more hours at work and thanking the Lord for those hours too before I worked them. My bank account used to be in the negative before I started doing that now I have a little left over when I am done paying my bills, its not much but its something. I just want to point out that I believe that Its not in the actual giving that I am blessed but its its in the trusting and obeying because now the Lord is the center of attention when it comes to my finances and not the amount of money in my bank account.

Tithing is a spiritual/material, common sense concept. For the Money System to work. There must be a free flow of money. Going from one person to another. So "giving" money actually makes it easier for us to recieve some benefit in return.
People who hoard money worryng about the future do a lot of damage to the Money System. They have to print more money, that there is no collateral to back it with, like gold. I would be willing to bet, that if everyone went to the bank to get their money, they wouldn't have it.
Even apathy has it's upside. Because the first Stock Market crash, caused everyone to run to the banks and withdraw their money, and we had a very hard financial time in the U.S. But the last crash, nobody gave a damn. And by not panicking and pulling their money out, we actually prevented a major financial ordeal for our country!

Just remember that tithing is an offering to God,not particularly to the church. I DO tithe, but only 25% of my tithing goes to the church. 75% goes directly to charities. I DO get back...not monetarily (but then I don't really need it) but in many many other ways.

Reaping or not, I do not care, since I had gain the most: salvation by the good Lord Jesus. Therefore I consider the tithe only as a thanksgiving to the Lord.

At the most it is psychosomatic. If you had the full 100% you could take that 10% savings invest it and do more with money or make a larger donation at some point in the future.

The problem you are likely running into is that you are used to only having that 90% and when you don't tithe you get that feeling that you have more money and then over spend and put yourself in a financial burden.

I have had many circustances like that, but I have also had many circumstances where we went hungry. We tithe because God directs us to do it, and faith negates the necessity for any particular response from God. Do it out of obedience not for what you get.

Oh my goodness yes. When you give God back what is rightfully his to begin with ( YOUR TITHES) no matter how your church chooses to disperse the funds and God knows in your heart what you have done for him and will return it tenfold. My family and I stand firmly on that and can testify to God's mercy and grace. We are his children and he wants the best for us and he does and will provide.

God always takes care of His children ... whether they tithe or not. Tithing is not an investment plan for God's care.

However, tithing every week or every paycheck helps you to remember whose money you have ... it's not yours, it's Gods.
