for parenting you?

Hmm...maybe a five. They taught me to be honest and to do what I say I'm going to do. But my mom was emotionally and physically abusive so gotta take points off for that.

I am a parent now and my rating of them hasn't changed. I don't believe it when my parents say, "I did the best I could at the time" because you know when you're doing it wrong. I KNOW when I yell at my daughter that I'm not doing the right thing. The question is do you want to continue the bad habits you learned from your parents (which is taking the easy way) or retrain yourself to do it better (the hard way)?

Way over 10. I dont even have to say anything, they just know what is wrong and always here to help when they can. What about you? what do you rate your parents.

10. I can't even begin to list all the things they did to help me through life, and I would be totally screwed without them. I love my parents and I miss them very much. (I now live quite far away.) : ( *sniff*

If you are not a diver, are you qualified to rate divers ? I would say if you haven't been a parent yet, don't rate your parents because you have no idea what the job entails but if you want to get a first hand experience, go to a local daycare and give the teacher an hour break and then come home and rate your parents.
