so that the Earth does not tilt. See Qur'an, Suras 79:30 (And the Earth after that He(Allah) FLATTENED it.; and 18:47 (and you will see the earth a leveled plain).

The Jewish/Christian Bible revealed that the earth is round in Isaiah 40:22 and via Job (26:7). Speaking of God in Isaiah 40:22, the Jewish/Christian Bible says; "It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. Funny isn't it, that the Bible said the earth was a "circle", even when everyone believed the earth was flat". Job 26:7 says, "He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing".

FYI: this is not an answer but a mere suggestion on your question. Point of information! just take a research on Coppernicus and the difference between heliocentric (i.e) sun is the center of the universe and geocentric belief of Christians before. And if you're saying that the christian believes that the earth is round, I think you're wrong. Even Galileo Galilie supported Coppernicus that resulted in his house arrest in the tower of Pizza by the Roman Catholic priest instead of undergone an inquisition by the Roman Catholic Dogma. In Isaiah 40:22 you have added the pronoun "who" that makes the context differ from its meaning and there was no word "circle" in it. I am holding three bibles right now and I cannot find the word "who" and "circle" in any of the three bibles that im holding.

18:47 refers to a day in the future when God will cause the mountains to pass away (like clouds of dust) and the earth will be levelled.
It does not say it IS this way, it says God will make it this way. Referring to the end, duh.

79:30 just says the God created the earth, laid it out, spread it out. Different ways to describe the arabic word in english but it isn't calling the earth flat.

You sir are wrong and your question is flawed... Read your bible better next time...

Chronicles 16:30: “He has fixed the earth firm, immovable.”

Daniel 4:10-11. In Daniel, the king “saw a tree of great height at the centre of the earth...reaching with its top to the sky and visible to the earth's farthest bounds.”

Matthew 4:8 says, “Once again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world [cosmos] in their glory.”

Isaiah 11:12: "And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the FOUR CORNERS of the earth."

Well you see a circle is two dimensional and can still be flat. A sphere is what the earth is, not a circle. Which kinda makes you point mute.

The Qur'an can't be accurately translated into other languages without losing it's precise meaning, 79:30 means that Allah made it surfaced "Sa'tah'aha" not flattened.

You forgot to state this verse:

[27.88] And you see the mountains, you think them to be solid, and they shall pass away as the passing away of the cloud-- the handiwork of Allah Who has made every thing thoroughly; surely He is Aware of what you do.

Lets assume the meaning you adopted.. "Flat".. The earth cannot be flat unless you find earth wherever you walk, every end you reach, you find a flat land.. This can't be unless the object is spherical....

OK the world is already flattened? And then we will see the earth flattened (levelled) again? You think there could be something wrong with your interpretation?
