Haven't seen one of those since I was a kid and went to a church fair in Kanses while visiting family.
A Kissing Booth was a way to raise money for charitable or community programs. It was an innocent, small town idea.
During County Fairs and church fund raisers a little booth was set up with one or two young women behind a counter and the men would pay a dollar (or whatever amount was decided on) for a kiss from the girl of his choice. It was all out in the open, the kisses were just a touching of lips, hands behind the back sort of thing, as we might see in a couple of 1st graders.
Wouldn't work today, but back then (1930's to 60's) life was a lot cleaner and friendship and romance came before sex.
By the way, back then any boy who tried to stick his tongue in a girl's mouth would have gotten slapped.
Times have changed, but in some ways not for the better.

Kissing booths started in America at Carnivals in the mid to late 50's. When no one worried about AIDS or the clap or even herpies. I am not sure but I think the idea was even imported over seas at some point by sailors. I know they do not exist in America any more just based on the fact that who would risk there health for the equivalent of $1.

I am 56 and at the fairs in the days before my time, they had kissing booths and they were like fund raisers, you could pay money to get a quick kiss from a beautiful gal or guy. It was not any big kiss, just a quick peck.

You kiss the person running the kissing booth and pay a small fee to kiss them

You usually find them at fairs (although I've never actually seen one) it's just a person at the booth, you pay and get a quick kiss.

2-4 money could be suitable (no longer too high priced yet nonetheless extreme adequate to develop some money) And we (me and a team of my fiends) did a kissing sales area in 12th grade to develop money for formal (Australian promenade). I had a sore lips by utilizing the top of the night (and no words could describe the flavor in my mouth) so i might propose having breath mints, water and mouth wash obtainable... reason some human beings you have gotten to kiss will no be friendly. delight on your kissing sales area. xx
