Have someone been taking codeine for a long time and stopped it gradually? How have you done it and is it severe? I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and it is more severe now after the birth of my son 7 months ago. I have been constantly on different OTC pain meds since. A rumatologist prescribed me to take 30-60mg codeine with aspirin every 6 hours as needed. I have pain everyday, so I take Nurofen every second day to avoid my body getting used to codeine. I am afraid it will build an immune against the codeine if I take it everyday and will not relieve the pain effectively. Do you think my pain is worse because of an rebound of all the pain meds or is it extra strain of the baby. On Effexor XR 150mg as well that helps for depression.

Thinking of stopping Amitripyline rumatologists prescribed me 6 days ago, because it makes me feel tired in the morning. Any advise?
