Because you can't be a Christian without believing in Christ.

Why do some people assume that Christian means anti-Muslim? Why do some people assume that atheist means without law and order? Why do some people assume that Jewish means deceitful and wealth? Because "People" are divided into 3 groups, as my mother always used to say, into such and such and those who can never be taught.

I don't assume it. But there are levels of atheists.

Some just do not believe in God and then there are those who are anti-God. And many in between.

It's the same with most beliefs I think. There are those who are nominal and then at the other end of the spectrum are those who are blinded by their own beliefs.

Because it means against God and we are God's people. It is not hard to understand in human terms: you love your human father we love our heavenly Father. If someone insulted your human father or said he didn't exist you would be pretty angry wouldn't you? Besides it is disgusting that some humans are so full of themselves they can't open their hearts to the idea that there is greater power beyond their own comprehension. It is a slap in the face to God for him to create you and you say to him that he does not matter or even exist. God is all around you everything is an aspect of God on this planet.

I am not anti-Christian, like I'm not anti-Jew or Muslem or Hindu.

I am anti Bu**s***. each religious group can have their own just dont off load it onto me.

I would also like to ask why there are Christians who are anti-atheist. Is it because they really know that what they say they believe, they know it to be nonsense.

Its the persecution complex. Christians think that if they are persecuted for their faith they are emulating Jesus so they actually invite people to be anti Christian. It is all about feeling good about themselves by scoring brownie points with their GOD. If only they would realize that if the kept their opinions to themselves they would live in peace with their invisible friend

Because nobody actually reads a Dictionary. An Atheist is someone who believes there is no deity. Not no God of the Christians, just no god/gods..period.

Only on YA, due mostly to the vitriolic attacks and lack of live-and-let-live attitude. Very little middle-of-the-road from both sides. And heaven (or science) help you if you try for a bit of humour.

Especially on message boards, there are too many hurting the reputation of both perspectives - atheist and theist. It is easy, yet wrong, to categorize it.
