My friend repeats herself alot. She tells me things she told me many times before. She also thinks she knows better. She comments on my clothes when she has no taste at all! I really want to shut her up but don't know how to let her know without sounding rude. She is getting on my nerves!

Grin and bear it. Suck it up. Be careful what you say to her. Sure, she may repeat herself. Don't call her "Miss Know-It-All" or tell her she has no taste at all.

What is the worst thing that could happen that you don't want to happen if you confront her? You could lose her as a friend. That is what is on the line. She may be getting on your nerves, but do you want to loser her as a friend over that?

Tell her that there are two people in the room and that only one is talking and one is listening.

Just kidding, that would be rude.

Next time she repeats herself just nicely point out that she's told you that a few times already and you don't plan on forgetting.

She is probably just relating the highlights of her life and needs new ones.

Just be honest. . .tell her she has already mentioned that fact,if she repeats herself again, finish her sentence for her, also stating she already said it several times, and you do understand her feelings on that point.

As far as the clothing go, just tell her you like what you are wearing and change the subject. The end.

Sooner or later - - - she stop- - - if not, you may have to choose another friend.

Didn't you already ask this question? lol jk :)

I know what you mean, there are some people out there who just say the same stuff over and over again. I just grin and bear it. Or you can just politely say, 'oh yes, I remember you telling me that before' to get them to hush. If she's making fun of your clothes, it's most likely because she's jealous!!!!!! But who needs a 'friend' like that?

How about distancing yourself from her. It's time to move on away from friends who are "toxic" who are not making you happy at all. Just like things in your life, it is good to take stock and throw out those that are of no use and are taking up precious space in your house and in your life.
