Is my ex missing me or is she wanting to see me because she is lonely?

Question

I am back in touch with my ex. She broke up with me 4 mths ago after 9 mths together.

I tried for a couple of mths after the split to get her back. She wasn't interested but said she wanted to be friends.

About 6 wks ago and rang and suggested a meet up. She said no as it wouldn't be fair on the person she was seeing.

I wrote to her and said I was fine with things ending, seeing someone else (that has ended now - my ex doesn't know yet) & happy to be friends. I expected the odd text from her, & we might meet up every few months.

She rang me straight away. I asked her if she was seeing anyone, she said no, I said that I was seeing someone. We met up a week ago.

Ironically, I appear to be doing better from being single than her, I have loads on. She seemed a bit lonely.

Is this now wanting to see me about her missing me or just feeling sorry for herself.

We are meeting again soon. I will tell her I have ended things with the person I was seeing.

Tips?? I miss her!

I do not want to be too pushy so I won;t tell her I miss her straight away. How do I work out what she wants without being too pushy!??

Also, I wonder if it is part due to being lonely. She doesn't appear to have much going on except work and family visits home. Both of her flatmates now have boyfriends, she is single and perhaps feeling sorry for herself at the thought!!??

shes probably realised after seeing someone else that she does miss you but doesnt want to admit it because she broke up with you and it would hurt her pride.When you meet up tell her your single again it didnt work out but your content with being single although its always nicer to have someone.It wont be focused directly at her but would be a little hint.You could ask her what she thinks of being single and if she wants you back she will hint too and make a move towards you, it might just be steping/siting closer to you it doesnt have to be aa big hint but just a gesture.I think if shes just lonely then she will still be able to control herself not for you to mistake her intentions and will try and change the subject back to a just being friends conversation if that makes sense.
If she doesnt stop you talking, then talk about what you have been doing but reminise on your relationship as your doing it.i.e I did this the other day, its was really fun do you remember when we used to do that and if she starts to reminiss to then I think that will mean that she does truelly miss you.Reminising in a conversation can show someone you miss them without being blunt about it.

Perhaps she left you for the other guy? Did it end suddenly and without any real reason, cause if thats the case then she probably did. You also chased her for a couple months after the split but she didn't want to know, so she was with the other guy? Its your call dude but she could dump you again when something else comes along, do you want that?

ooooh be careful with this one! She sees you as more attractive because you "have" someone else. Thus if she can steal you away her ego gets a huge boost. Don't tell her right away that you've stopped seeing the other girl; you're a much bigger catch if she has to steal you from someone else. Unfortunate but truly the human way.....Give her a big sob story about how you miss her but don't want to hurt the other girl and she'll be back in your arms in no time. You just have to decide if you want to be with her after all the games....

I think that she may have realised she made a mistake at your expense. I dont think you should make it easy for her to come back. Dont tell her how you feel, let her do all the running and in the meantime keep looking for Miss Right. Don't let yourself be used again.

Have a talk with her. If she wants to go back, tell her that if she breaks up ;with you again, it is over for good. Don't beg or let her control everything you do. She needs to be the one to make it up to you.
