I thought when you approach a roundabout, you use the left lane for going left and straight over and the right lane to turn right "unless otherwise marked"
Also, you give way to your right handside at a roundabout.
These are just a couple of things that other drivers do the opposite way to me and cut me up, swear at me etc..
There's a couple of roundabouts where I live and there's been that many bumps with people not giving way to the right.
Am I wrong?

In South Africa the drivers who are already in a traffic circle have right of way.
You ALWAYS turn left to go into a traffic circle, If you turn right you will have a head on collision with another car.

In general we drive on the left side of the road like unlike the Americans who drive on the right side of the road

All depends on which country or continent you're driving !! Rules apply everywhere , but stressed out drivers sometimes become aggressive and do not respect those rules .. all i can say is go with the flow and be confident in your moves.. but of course avoid bumps or crashes hahaha .. It's all a matter of feeling the other's reaction and showing you are there too with your car.. good luck on your next roundabout !!

One reason is they concentrate too much on cell phone talk and not driving.
That is one of the sources of my irritation when following people
