I would guess it's a virus. a computer shouldn't normally do that. try scanning for viruses.

it also could be some program that's running for a good reason but is set up to use some file on your floppy drive.

if the A:\... is in your PATH environment variable it may be searching the floppy disk every time it's looking for a file to run.

have you rebooted the computer with a disc in the drive?

try to get into the bios and tell your computer to boot from your hard disc not the floppy
