This is a case of tissue rupture which I'm also facing.For this you have to be very particular of
1.your shoes ,wear gud padded ones not the hard heels.
2.Never walk barefooted.
3.And try a small therapy which will really help you a lot.
Take two buckets one of Hot water and another Ice Cold water.Now put your feet first in hot water bucket for 2 min. and then in cold water for 3 min.Repeat this 6-7 times and alternate days.Beleive me you will find releive after 2-3 weeks of this treatment.

Rest and using these to cushion my heels has completely eliminated any pain and it used to be so bad I didn't want to walk at all.

My chiropractor did some manipulation to my feet and ankles. After that as long as I do daily calf stretches, I don't have any problems.
