Actually, if you want to know the real answer that there are many denominations, it can be traced back to the invention of the printing press! True story.
Before the printing press, bibles were very expensive and owned by the church. You had to rely on your priest to tell you god's word. However, when the printing press was invented, and bibles were affordable by the common man, people started reading the bible for themselves. They would find verses that didn't agree with what their religion was telling them, and then they would start new denominations teaching the bible as they saw it interpreted.

You didn't think one of them had a truth at the expense of all the others did you?
It's a scam built on The Ultimate Sting perpetuated on humankind.
There's absolutely top money to be made from religion ... if you can keep a straight face.
If you can't keep a straight face whilst thinking of the dollars that are gonna come rolling in from chatting up a few gullible suckers you're in the wrong scam; find another.
You could always get a real job instead of being a leech or a parasite.

Shalom, In Rev 17:5 Rome)babylon the great the mother of Harlots(all christans)just look up church history, all pagan. They are all searching but can not put the finger on what is wrong,in there beliefs. Hosea 2:16 baal=LORD or God. And they are all lost souls, they know there is something wrong, but can not, or do not want truths of Yahowah, that is written, not Lord, or God.

Christ only created one Church which is to be one and endure for all time. The exponientially increasing denominations we see to today are the fruits of the heresy of Sola Scriptura and protesting Christ's Church. As Christians we should pray Jesus' last prayer that we be one.

a different view on this one is that they have many many different gods which coincidentally have the same name... God.. and Jesus... but there are actually different versions of them...
