2.5 engine did not get the best start in life but nissan is replacing lot's of the engines damaged by cat converter failure and plenty of head gaskets. The 3.5 liter engine you almost cannot kill those.. Some owners try however by not changing the oil. That will cause sludge and plug up the valve covers. The Nissan Shop where I work 10 technicians we might replace a engine a week most the time Nissan Steps right up. Except in cases of neglect most the time customer even gets a rent car. Another reason to have purchased extended warranty.
