He sulks when i play with them, stipulates that they are dirty and should not be allowed on the sofa, and grumbles when they meow for attention. He gets loads of attention from me but just cant seem to cope with me spending time with them. Is this going to get any better or worse???? Giving them up is not an option! Does any ones else’s partner get jealous or am i living with a loonie??

Noodle – what is juvenile about asking whether my boyfriend’s emotional issues are justified? People become insecure over the most ridiculous things sometimes; this does not make them immature/simple. Look at how may people have experienced the same?

Sit him down and talk with him, explain how you feel. You love your kittens, they make you happy, and an unhappy girlfriend would want to give her boyfriend even less affection. Keep them clean and make that clear to your boyfriend. If it is your house he has no say about furniture, but if it is both of yours perhaps compromise...they have pads to put on sofas or you can get them cat beds. Ask your boyfriend what can be done to make him feel better about the cats, but make it very clear that you are attached and they arent going anywhere.
Also make sure to spend some time with him that is not shared with the cats, maybe even go out somewhere so you wont be tempted to play wih them. Assure your boyfriend the kittens wont take his place, they are simply more friends, a bigger family.
If he begins acting all obsessive/possesive, watch out. I know you dont want to hear it but this could be the first sign of a big problem. Hopefully that is not the case though.
Good luck!

I am inclined to use my pets (and my partner's response to the pets) as a measure of his value as a human being. People who do not like animals, or are jealous of them, generally also have other issues that are not positive in a relationship. Does he also get jealous of time you spend with your friends, want to come along or think of distractions when you are planning activities with others? If yes then keep the kittens and dump the boyfriend. He is over-controlling and not a nice person - no matter how charming he is to you at present.

talking of giving freely your man or woman baby ... what's the version between a toddler and a kitten? the two certainly one of them can no longer communicate, instruct behaviour that's in many cases puzzling and annoying, prefer consistent care and interest ... people who harm animals harm infants, too. Its approximately having an entire loss of empathy for the discomfort you're inflicting on something small and helpless. in case you will justify it by utilizing asserting he had an anger flash, how are you able to guarantee he will never an anger flash with any toddler you have gotten with him. you may no longer. He can cry and be sorry as much as he needs to after its handed off, yet while he's killed or injured your baby (or your cat) and performed some everlasting injury, that may not make any odds in any respect. in my view, i might somewhat decrease my very own arm off than pass away my baby or my animals close to a guy like that. you save that kitten in a unfavourable issue, meaning you do no longer like it. you're keeping it because of fact of your desires, no longer in view which you care approximately its protection and happiness. it extremely is all.

He's either being a baby or too much of a perfectionist. Tell him to just live with it and that giving them up is not an option. Then ignore him when he acts like a kid and sulks, sighs,or moans when you interact with the kittens. That way he get zero reinforcement for his silly behavior.
This is a trivial fact and not an insinuation. There has never been a serial killer that liked cats. Weird huh?

Moo some blokes are very jealous even over little cute fluff balls . I can't see it getting better as if he can't relate to them now whilst they are at their cutest how will he act towards them when they are fully grown.
I do agree with him about them not being on the sofa . Sharp claws and furniture do not work well together .
Try to get him involved with playing with them Buy the kittens some toys that could possible entertain a sulky bf as well lol .
Good luck x

OMG, years ago I had a 'boyfriend' who hated my two Yorkies. He threw a fit every time they came near him. They were neither snappy, smelly, or jumpy!
If you ask me, this 'boyfriend' of yours isn't worth it. You're far too good for him because you strike me as a sensitive, loving person. Any man who hates his girlfriend's kittens, cats, dogs, puppies, just isn't worth it. I'd dump him now ... before you discover a few more negative traits about him.
Ever considered a vet for a boyfriend? Easier said than done, but there are some dishy examples on the market!!!
Good luck!

Your boyfriend has problems. Use this as an eye opener as to what the future with him might be like.
If you don't want to dump the guy, I suggest counseling to find out why you are tolerating his abuse. Yes it is abuse. It will only get worse.

It will get worse! Keep your kitties and get rid of the insecure guy. If he's gonna be jealous of kittens what is gonna happen when you hang with friends? I truly believe that you can tell a persons character by how they treat their parents and animals......

Keep the kittens and dump the boyfriend. Sounds as if he is the type of bloke who likes you all to himself.
