If you don't understand this, think of electricity as being similar to water flowing in a stream and going over a waterfall into a waterwheel.
The amount of water flowing in the steam can be likened to electric current (Amps), the height of the waterfall can be likened to the potential difference (Volts) and the power that is generated by the waterwheel is the power (Watts)
The power the waterwheel develops is a the amount of water flow times the height of the waterfall. Similarly in an electrical circuit the Power (Watts) is the Current (Amps) times the Potential Difference (Volts)

In simple terms, Voltage is the pressure of the supply, 230/240 in UK. Amps is the rate of flow of the current, ie. 5amps. Watts is the power, product of the two. 240volts @ 5 amps is 1200 watts, or 1.2Kw.

Volts are units of potential difference.
Volts = Joules / Coulombs
1V = 1 J C^-1
Watts are units of power
