I know that houses recieve current in AC because it's easier to transmit and transform and all that.
What i want to know is if TV's use that AC current or convert it to DC current to use in the cathode rays or whatever.
And if they are AC is that because DC wouldn't work and veis versa?

I KNOW WHAT POWER IS INPUT INTO THE TV. I get that is AC. I get WHY household power is AC.
The only thing i wanted to know is if there was a conversion of AC to DC inside the television and why.
No, your websites say nothing except about AC use and transmission. Which i already know. As i think i may have mentioned.
As you may have noted from other peoples answers, it seems that televisons DO in fact convert AC electricity to DC.
which is what i was actually asking for.
Thank you for your time.
